An artist has raised hundreds of pounds in support of NHS staff with hand-painted prints providing a message of hope during the coronavirus outbreak.

Karen Hughes, 41, has so far raised £400 for frontline health heroes through the sales of her print, called Isolated but Not Alone, which shows one figure handing over a heart-shaped balloon to another.

Created in line with the rainbow trail trend, which encourages families to place pictures of rainbows in their windows to bring a smile during the coronavirus lockdown, the print’s design has captured hearts across the world.
