Fall in jobless figures

JOBLESS benefit claimant figures have fallen in the last month.

The number of people in Hartlepool claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance has fallen in the last month from 4.612 in May to 4,502 in June.

Figures for the Easington constituency rose in the same period from 3,195 in May to 3,232 in June.

Jobless figures for the Stockton North constituency, which covers Billingham, Wolviston and parts of Wynyard, fell slightly from 4,181 in May to 4,175 in June.

In the Sedgefield constituency there was also a fall from 2,612 in May to 2,561 in June.
