A man who held up a Sunderland bookmaker's store is still on the loose.

Police were called to the BetFred outlet on The Green in Southwick at around 8.40am yesterday, where a man had threatened staff before making off with a quantity of cash.

Nobody was injured.

He is described as white, with a local accent and wearing very distinctive clothing - a balaclava, gloves, a high visibility yellow jacket down to his knees and had a hood, dark trousers and dark footwear.
