Misplaced diary causes problems

A SOCIAL club manager wants to hear from anyone who has booked an event at the venue after she misplaced her diary.

Concerned Julie Morrell, the manager of Camerons Sports and Social Club, in Waldon Street, Hartlepool, went on a recent trip to Liverpool and took her bookings diary along with her so she could do some work.

But the 35-year-old was mortified to get home and find her diary was not in her case.

She immediately called the hotel, but staff could not find the diary, leaving her unaware what is booked in at the club.

All of her contacts are in the diary so Julie now cannot take any more bookings until she finds out what is already booked in.

“It’s an absolute nightmare,” said Julie, the mum of John, 14, who lives in Caistor Drive, Hartlepool with husband, John, 35.

“I can’t sleep on a night, I’m worrying about it so much.”

Julie is now asking anyone who has booked an event, day or night, at the club to get in touch as soon as possible.

She said more than 100 bookings had already been made for 2012.

She does have the contact details of people who have already paid deposits and has been in touch with them, but has been unable to contact those who have not.

Julie added: “It’s obviously costing us quite a bit of money because we can’t take any more bookings until we know what’s in already.

“I am ringing the hotel every day and I am just hoping it turns up.”

Anyone who has made bookings should call the club on (01429) 233234.
