Thousands of you followed the Olympic torch across East Durham with us live online

A team of Peterlee Star and Hartlepool Mail reporters and photographers covered the flame’s journey as it passed from person to person.

They uploaded videos, photos and reaction live from the scene onto our website.

There are five pages of reports and pictures from the historic day in today’s Mail.
