Teenage boy knocked down on Seaham housing estate
The Avenue, in Deneside, Seaham, was closed in both directions while police and paramedics dealt with the incident.
Police were called to the report at 1.40pm by the ambulance service, which sent two Hazardous Area Response Team vehicles and an ambulance to the scene.

Hide AdThe 14-year-old, who lives nearby, was taken to James Cook University Hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be serious.
The road has now reopened to traffic.
The driver of the Toyota car, a woman in her early 40s, stopped at the scene and was left shaken but unhurt.
The collision happened close to the row of shops which include the Post Office and Kenneth Taylor Funeral Director.
