'Hunter back to his best'
BOSS Dave Garside declared that boxing fans will see "the best Michael Hunter since he beat Esham Pickering" when he challenges for the British title.
Hunter tackles reigning super-bantamweight belt holder Jason Booth in Sunderland this Friday evening.
It is close to the fourth anniversary of the Hartlepool boxer's most notable victories.
PIckering put down Hunter in each of the first two rounds of their British, Commonwealth and European unification match at the Borough Hall.
Not only did the Neil Fannan fighter climb off the canvas, he roared back to win a famous points verdict at the Borough Hall.
Now, after three barren years following his failed world title challenge, Hunter is back and looking to regain his British crown.
"I'm very happy with Michael," said Garside.
"His diet and conditioning has gone great thanks to Ian Glass.
"And his training with Neil Fannan has been excellent. He couldn't wish for better
"I do believe this will be the best Michael Hunter since he beat Esham Pickering."
